1. Introduction

Lytle Solutions LLC ("Company," "we," "us") operates PersonaWise, an AI-powered self-reflection and personal growth platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose your information when you use our website, mobile application, and services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email address, date of birth, and password (hashed via bcrypt).

Onboarding & Life Experience Data: Life stage responses (yes/no toggles, impact ratings, Likert scales), personal goals, challenges, values, personality traits, and life event descriptions.

Conversation & Interaction Data: Persona chat conversations, AI Therapist session history, journal entries, mood tracking data, self-care checklist completions, and feedback ratings.

Automatically Collected Information: IP address, browser type, device information, and session data for authentication.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and power AI persona conversations based on your life experiences
To provide AI therapeutic validation using evidence-based frameworks (CBT, DBT, ACT)
To enable journaling, mood tracking, and self-care checklist features
To generate personalized insights and action plans
To process subscription payments via Stripe
To detect crisis language and display emergency resources (988 Lifeline)
To improve our service using aggregated, anonymized usage data

4. Data Encryption & Security

AES-256 Encryption at Rest: All personal data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption before storage
Zero-Knowledge Architecture: Our systems are designed so that not even our team can read your personal reflections
Per-User Encryption Keys: Each user's data is encrypted with unique keys
Secure Authentication: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with secure httpOnly cookies
HTTPS Everywhere: All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

Payment Processing: Stripe processes payment information. We never store full credit card numbers.

AI Processing: Conversation messages are sent to OpenAI for generating persona responses, processed in real-time per OpenAI's usage policies.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid legal process.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active.

You can delete ALL of your data permanently at any time through Settings → Delete My Data. This action is irreversible. Data is purged from databases within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

7. COPPA Compliance & Children's Privacy

PersonaWise is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Our onboarding enforces a minimum age requirement. If we discover that a child under 13 has used PersonaWise, we will promptly delete that information.

8. Crisis Detection

PersonaWise includes automated crisis detection that scans messages for keywords indicating mental health emergencies. When detected, users are shown crisis resources (988 Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, 911). No conversation data is shared with crisis services.

9. Your Rights

Access: Request a copy of all personal information we hold
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
Deletion: Request permanent deletion of all data (available in-app)
Portability: Request your data in a portable format

California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.100).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
